| The Reiff Funeral Home
was founded in March 1984 when Mary Ann and Bob Reiff
purchased the Mason Funeral Home (formerly known as Hawe
Funeral Home, and McCleery Funeral Home) at 216 3rd Ave.
SE, Independence, Iowa. Located in a Victorian home built
in the late 1800’s by the Shellito/Campbell families
as a wedding present for their children. It was converted
to a funeral home in the mid 1950’s by Robert Hawe.
In March 2001 the home was destroyed by fire, and our
current modern handicap accessible facility was rebuilt
on the same location.
We also provide services through
our funeral home located at 406 Cedar Street, Quasqueton,
Iowa. This funeral home was owned and operated by the
William and Bess Harris family who allowed the residents
of the Quasqueton area the opportunity to use their
home for visitations.
