Being prepared is always a prudent thing to do, because we never know what the future brings.  Making your wishes know, and recording all of the necessary information which is needed at the time of death will help alleviate a burden which will be placed upon your loved ones.  They will have a course of action which was put in place by the person in which they want to memorialize, helping them through this time.
